Some hard-thuddin', good-riffin' honestrocknroll from Ottawa's The Band Whose Name Is A Symbol. 'Haf Hed' is one of the seven tracks on their last album Pathfinder. They've released eight albums including this one, each available in such tiny quantities that you either need to be very quick, or happy to listen online.

track for today… d3ssicant 'meltdown'

"Live beat manipulation, honing in on an an idea of modular beats. Slowly evolving." Can't argue with D3ssicant's own description of this track; it's a sly and hypnotic digital lope that's pleasingly stark. D3ssicant is Portland-based journalist/designer/musician J Simpson, also known as Forestpunk.
